Staff Software Engineer – Consumer Wealth

About the role

As a Staff Software Engineer in the Consumer Wealth domain, you will shape how users grow and manage their savings and investments, driving technical strategy and delivering high‑impact backend solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define the technical strategy for the Consumer Wealth domain, architecting complex subsystems that power savings and investment features with cross‑product considerations.
• Design and build scalable, high‑quality systems that solve complex financial engineering problems, simplifying back‑end operations.
• Build cross‑organizational relationships to drive technical alignment, represent the technical vision, and stay ahead of emerging FinTech trends.
• Develop the next generation of technical leaders and champion a culture of high‑quality engineering and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the Consumer Wealth back‑end infrastructure using Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of back‑end software engineering experience in product‑focused companies, with a proven record of architecting microservices and complex cloud environments.
• Deep expertise in Java, strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS a plus), and interest in financial products and wealth‑management systems.
• Excellent structured communication skills to build trust and achieve technical alignment across the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to generate intellectual property, lead technical vision, and leverage emerging technology trends.
• Passion for FinTech or startup environments and fluency in English.
