Cybersecurity Developer – Embedded Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Developer to design and implement security mechanisms for embedded software in the e‑mobility sector. You will work with a young, dynamic team on high‑tech projects that shape the future of sustainable mobility.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop software cybersecurity mechanisms in line with security requirements and secure‑code guidelines.
• Monitor product vulnerabilities, assess severity, and manage remediation and verification.
• Define and update secure coding guidelines.
• Integrate and configure cybersecurity features throughout the product lifecycle (development, production, maintenance).
• Write technical documentation for the software you develop.
• Debug code on various systems using appropriate debuggers.
• Study technical documentation of micro‑processors and micro‑controllers.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in electrical/information engineering or computer science.
• Professional experience in cybersecurity.
• Strong knowledge of C and C++ programming in an embedded Linux environment.
• Familiarity with Arm Cortex‑M and Cortex‑A cores and cryptographic algorithms used in embedded systems.
• Understanding of basic security mechanisms such as secure boot, authenticated software updates, and access control.
• Experience with secure coding techniques and hardware security devices (e.g., HW security modules, Arm TrustZone, TPM).
• Independent, meticulous work style with an analytical mindset.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian or German is a plus.
