Cybersecurity Pentester – EV Charging Systems

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Pentester to conduct penetration testing on electric vehicle charging infrastructure, including chargers, embedded controllers and backend systems. You will work in a dynamic, young team focused on innovative e‑mobility solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform penetration testing on chargers, embedded controllers, and backend infrastructures using techniques such as brute force, code injection, and malformed data.
• Attack implemented security mitigations to bypass them via software or hardware methods like fault injection, glitches, and side‑channel attacks.
• Identify weaknesses in charging protocols for EVs and charge point operators.
• Produce detailed reports of findings and assist in assessing vulnerabilities, including remediation recommendations.
• Support the setup and maintenance of a distributed penetration testing lab, selecting tools, programming languages and scripts.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electronic/Information Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent professional experience in cybersecurity.
• Self‑reliant, meticulous, analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving attitude.
• Ability to work autonomously and proactively.

Required skills

• Experience in Linux environments.
• Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms.
• Familiarity with security mechanisms such as secure boot, authenticated software updates and access control.
• Knowledge of scanning techniques, fault injection hardware/software, hardware security modules, ARM TrustZone and Trusted Platform Module.
• Experience with reverse engineering.
• Understanding of micro‑processors and micro‑controllers, debugging and control.
