Data Engineer – Build Data Lakehouse & BI Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain our centralized data intelligence platform. The role will enable self‑service BI and advanced AI applications across the organisation, supporting Loacker’s digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust data pipelines that integrate information from multiple systems.
• Build and optimise data models for Business Intelligence, advanced analytics and AI use cases.
• Contribute to the evolution of our Data Lakehouse architecture, improving performance, scalability, security and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with business process owners, key users and cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into data‑driven solutions.
• Support the adoption of self‑service BI and AI tools, fostering data literacy throughout the company.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Management Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, BI or advanced analytics.
• Fluent English and proficiency in Italian or German.

Required skills

• Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI.
• SQL, Python, Spark, YAML, Power Query, DAX.
• Experience with natural‑language prompts, LLMs, MCP Servers or Agentic AI is a plus.
