Data Engineer

About the role

Booz Allen is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to help mission‑driven clients turn large volumes of structured and unstructured data into actionable insights. You will design, build, and maintain data pipelines that support analytics, reporting, and decision‑making across a variety of emerging technologies such as IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows for diverse data sources.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and data consumers in an agile, cross‑functional team.
• Assess, design, and implement analytic solutions that meet client requirements.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance, especially for classified environments.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience using programming or query languages such as Python, R, Scala, or SQL.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain data applications for reporting and analytics.
• Experience creating workflows that retrieve, parse, and process both structured and unstructured data.
• Active passport with at least six months validity for visa purposes.
• Secret security clearance and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Mathematics.
