Financial Accountant (L.68/99)

About the role

As a Financial Accountant (L.68/99) at Satispay in Milan, you will ensure the efficient functioning of the accounting department, handling general ledger, balance sheet, fixed assets, payroll, and compliance tasks.

Key responsibilities

• General Ledger and Subledger ownership, ensuring accurate postings, documentation, and reconciliation of sub‑ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank movements.
• Prepare and review detailed balance‑sheet reconciliations to maintain traceability and consistency.
• Manage fixed‑assets and CAPEX accounting, including capitalisation policies and amortisation schedules.
• Oversee payroll accounting entries, coordinating with external providers and ensuring accurate accruals.
• Act as primary contact for statutory auditors, providing high‑quality supporting documentation.
• Prepare accounting data for VAT and other tax filings, ensuring consistency with records.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, control, and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in fintech, finance, or corporate services.
• Solid knowledge of local accounting principles (Italian and/or Luxembourg GAAP); IFRS exposure is a plus.
• Proactive mindset with ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent organisational skills and fluency in both Italian and English.

Required skills

• Experience working in structured ERP environments.
• Strong proficiency with SAP S/4HANA (strong plus) and advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills.
• Familiarity with automation, data tools, or scripting‑based workflows.
• Analytical ability to support audit, tax, and regulatory functions.
