Guest Commerce Director – On Board Position

About the role

We are looking for a Guest Commerce Director to join the Senior Management Team on Costa cruise vessels. The role combines strategic commercial leadership with data‑driven decision‑making to maximise onboard revenue streams and enhance guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse guest mix, consumption trends and revenue KPIs on a cruise‑by‑cruise basis to drive profitability.
• Translate retail and onboard revenue data into actionable business plans and new commercial opportunities.
• Lead the onboard Palimpsest schedule, coordinating Sales and Entertainment teams to optimise revenue generation.
• Host regular onboard revenue meetings, conduct inspections and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor performance through dashboards, guest insights and market trends, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Ensure all communication channels and promotional materials comply with brand standards.
• Coordinate with shore‑side teams to align entertainment and commercial schedules.

Required profile

• Degree in Marketing & Communication, Business Administration, Business Management or Hospitality Management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in retail, commercial performance, visual merchandising, team management and operational optimisation.
• Previous onboard experience is a strong advantage.
• Proven track record in revenue management, commercial strategy and KPI‑driven performance.
• English proficiency at C1 level; Italian preferred; a third language (French, Spanish, German, Portuguese or Chinese) at B2 level is mandatory.
• High sense of ownership, accountability and a guest‑centric mindset.
