IB MYP/DP Teacher – Individuals & Societies, Business & Economics

About the role

Inspired Education is seeking an experienced secondary‑school teacher to join the International School of Siena in August 2026. The role focuses on delivering the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) in Individuals and Societies, Business Management and Economics, while fostering a vibrant, inquiry‑based learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the school’s Positive Behaviour Policy, pastoral programme and core values.
• Plan and deliver the MYP curriculum for Spanish Language Acquisition and Italian Language & Literature, as well as Individuals and Societies, Business Management and Economics.
• Standardise internal assessments and collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency.
• Supervise Extended Essays and Personal Projects where required.
• Work closely with the MYP Coordinator to maintain accurate grade banks and provide data‑driven insights.
• Act as a homeroom teacher, supporting students’ academic and personal development.
• Participate actively in staff professional‑development activities.
• Offer at least one extracurricular activity that complements the school’s programme.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching IB MYP and DP or strong background in concept‑ and inquiry‑based pedagogy.
• Relevant teaching qualifications and experience preparing students for high‑stakes external assessments.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and either an EU passport or a valid Italian work visa.
• Dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate about inspiring students to achieve their potential.
• Team‑player able to thrive in a small, busy school community.
