IT Helpdesk Support Specialist

About the role

UNOX is seeking an IT Helpdesk Support Specialist to join its Helpdesk & Infrastructure team. The role involves providing first‑line technical assistance to office and manufacturing staff, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software and network resources.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for employees, both on‑site and remotely.
• Configure, maintain and optimise IT devices such as PCs, smartphones, printers and other peripherals.
• Analyse root causes of recurring problems and implement preventive measures.
• Participate in technology improvement projects aimed at boosting workplace efficiency.
• Monitor software licences to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with external IT partners when specialised support is required.
• Document and share best practices within the IT team.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with the capacity to prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Curiosity for new technologies and willingness to explore innovative solutions.
• Effective communication skills in both Italian and English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (switching, routing, VLANs, inter‑VLANs).
• Understanding of PC and laptop hardware components.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Proficiency with productivity applications such as Office 365 and common web browsers.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory (advantage).
• Support for peripherals including printers, smartphones and other IT devices.
