Junior Site Project Engineer – Field Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Site Project Engineer to join a large‑scale industrial decarbonisation project in the Netherlands. The role offers hands‑on, on‑site experience supporting engineering, construction, and permitting activities for a top‑tier client.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate field engineering activities on site, working closely with the engineering office and construction contractor.
• Manage document control, deliverable reviews, drawing checks, and resolve engineering‑construction clashes.
• Monitor engineering progress and contribute to updates of the Level‑3 project schedule.
• Proactively follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely, high‑quality deliverables.
• Plan, monitor, and report permitting activities, guaranteeing compliance with local regulations.
• Verify that construction work adheres to regulatory and permitting requirements.
• Act as the on‑site interface between engineering, construction, and international teams.
• Support Quantity Surveying tasks by checking executed quantities and confirming consistency with subcontractor declarations.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Civil, Construction, Industrial or equivalent).
• 3‑5 years of experience in industrial or infrastructure projects, preferably in engineering, construction, or site‑based roles.
• Initial exposure to field engineering or construction coordination is an advantage.
• Strong interest in on‑site activities and ability to work in a matrix, multicultural environment.
• Fluent English communication skills.
