Junior Software Engineer – Microservices & Low‑Latency Systems

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join Poppi Technologies’ development team. The team builds and maintains a suite of micro‑services that monitor, analyse and alert on trading activity, requiring low‑latency and high‑availability solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Write reusable, testable, well‑documented code for micro‑service components.
• Develop automated unit and component tests and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with teammates to design and implement performant, high‑availability features.
• Support Linux‑based deployment environments and containerisation.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Software Engineering or equivalent with strong academic performance in algorithms and data structures.
• Experience programming in a compiled language and understanding of concurrency and memory management.
• Proficiency with Git, unit testing, debugging and Linux shell scripting.
• Good problem‑solving abilities and fluent written and spoken English.
