Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Psychology (2 positions)

About the role

The School of Psychology at UNSW is hiring two academics – a Lecturer and a Senior Lecturer – to join a leading research and teaching environment in Sydney. The successful candidates will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, develop innovative curricula, and advance the school’s research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and assess undergraduate and postgraduate courses in statistics, research methods and related areas.
• Design learning activities, resources and assessments that support diverse student needs.
• Supervise honours, Masters and PhD students and contribute to their research development.
• Maintain an active research programme, publish in peer‑reviewed journals and attract external funding.
• Participate in departmental service, including curriculum review and community engagement.

Required profile

• PhD in Psychology or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated record of scholarly research at national or international level.
• Experience in teaching university‑level psychology courses, preferably statistics or research methods.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching and mentorship of a diverse student body.
• Eligibility for Australian work visa sponsorship where required.
