Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Psychology

About the role

The School of Psychology at the University of New South Wales is seeking a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) to teach statistics and research methods to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The role combines high‑quality teaching with an active research agenda that contributes to the School’s national and international reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and continuously improve undergraduate and postgraduate courses in statistics and research methods.
• Design learning activities, assessments and resources aligned with UNSW teaching policies.
• Supervise honours, Masters and PhD students in research projects.
• Develop an independent research programme, publish in peer‑reviewed journals and secure external funding.
• Participate in departmental service, curriculum development and academic committees.

Required profile

• PhD in Psychology or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching statistics and research methods.
• Strong record of scholarly research with publications in reputable journals.
• Ability to attract research funding and collaborate internationally.
• Eligibility for Australian work visa sponsorship (if required).
