Legal Head – Senior Manager (Real Estate)

About the role

The Legal Head will lead the legal function of Svarna Infrastructure and Builders Private Limited, a real‑estate development firm. Reporting to the Managing Director/Vice President, you will provide strategic legal advice, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect the company’s interests across all transactions and disputes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a legal strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to real‑estate, construction, procurement and partnerships.
• Monitor legislative changes affecting the real‑estate sector and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Manage litigation and dispute‑resolution processes, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
• Identify legal risks, conduct audits and implement risk‑mitigation policies.
• Lead, mentor and develop the internal legal team.
• Oversee corporate governance, board documentation and statutory filings.
• Support real‑estate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, leases and joint ventures, and conduct due diligence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) – mandatory.
• Master’s degree in Law (LLM) or relevant professional certification – preferred.
• Extensive experience in legal matters within the real‑estate or construction industry.
• Proven ability to manage complex contracts, regulatory compliance and litigation.
