Materials Planner – Maranello

About the role

Ferrari is seeking a Materials Planner to join its Supply Chain Team in Maranello, Italy. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely availability of materials, managing supplier relationships, and supporting continuous production flow in a high‑performance automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of European and extra‑European suppliers across various supply models, including open orders, closed orders, subcontracting and consignment stock.
• Monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules and supplier performance, proactively expediting and resolving delays.
• Guarantee material availability to meet production plans, address quality‑related issues and align inventory levels.
• Coordinate urgent transportation activities to maintain production continuity in critical situations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Purchasing departments to resolve supply‑related problems and minimise operational risk.
• Develop and share long‑term forecasts with suppliers that have long lead times.
• Maintain logistics master data and system parameters to support effective material planning and replenishment.
• Assist with material receiving, spare‑parts requests and customs clearance for extra‑EU shipments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for planning processes, inventory management and supplier collaboration.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in material planning, logistics, supply chain or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of material planning processes, supplier management and inventory control.
• Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience handling supply continuity in complex, dynamic settings with both local and international suppliers is a plus.
• Proactive, highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities across functions.
