Mechanical Project Engineer – Large‑Scale Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our growing team delivering large‑scale, technically complex construction projects across Europe. You will support the coordination, installation, and delivery of mechanical systems on mission‑critical sites.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and manage design documents, technical specifications, and drawings.
• Support project handover, coordination meetings and identify value‑engineering opportunities.
• Prepare and review coordinated multi‑discipline drawings.
• Raise and track RFIs, purchase orders, equipment deliveries and receipts.
• Monitor project progress, variations, take‑offs and commercial impacts.
• Liaise with designers, subcontractors and project teams to resolve technical and commercial issues.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments; coordinate subcontractor activities and installation sequencing.
• Carry out inspections, snagging, P&ID and layout walk‑downs.
• Populate and manage testing and commissioning documentation.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and document‑control systems.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and information‑management requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in mechanical project engineering on construction projects.
• Strong understanding of design coordination, procurement and installation processes.
• Experience on large‑scale data‑centre, industrial or mission‑critical projects is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing subcontractors and supporting on‑site delivery.
• Knowledge of testing, commissioning and QA/QC processes preferred.
