MEMS Layout Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Develop holistic chip designs and chip layouts for complex micromechanical sensors, ensuring compliance with design and technology requirements.
• Generate mask data and comprehensive manufacturing documentation for new developments and variants, while balancing cost‑effectiveness and quality standards.
• Coordinate internal interfaces between development and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth hand‑over of designs.
• Design, develop, and optimise software solutions that automate simulation workflows and improve overall efficiency.
• Create and enhance software concepts for verifying layouts and mask data in close collaboration with internal R&D departments.

Required profile

• Completed university degree in engineering, natural sciences, electrical engineering, microsystems engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry, materials science or a comparable field.
• Proven experience in developing innovative MEMS/semiconductor technologies with expertise in sensor technology, micromechanics and semiconductor processes.
• Very good written and spoken English (and German) with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.

What we offer

• Gross annual salary ranging from €40,000 to €45,000 for a 40‑hour work week.
