Sensor System Expert for Motion Sensors

About the role

As a Sensor System Expert you will join Bosch Sensortec’s Design Center in Milan to lead the definition of next‑generation inertial measurement units (IMUs). You will be responsible for translating system requirements into concrete specifications for MEMS, ASIC, packaging, testing, calibration and software, ensuring robust performance for motion‑sensor applications.

Key responsibilities

• Define system architecture and derive key requirements for MEMS, ASIC, package, testing, calibration and software.
• Plan, organise and analyse simulations, experiments and measurements to evaluate sensor concepts, performance, robustness and failure modes.
• Develop verification and validation approaches for sensor systems and coordinate interdisciplinary teams to align requirements, design assumptions and implementation constraints.
• Analyse technical trade‑offs, identify gaps between requirements and measured behaviour, and propose solutions to meet target specifications.
• Document results and present findings in project reviews with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Collaborate with internal experts, central research and external partners to assess new technologies, architectures and concepts for future sensor systems.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of industry experience with deep knowledge of gyroscope and accelerometer sensor systems.
• Strong interdisciplinary comprehension, customer orientation, creative drive and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Excellent decision‑making abilities, team player attitude and cross‑cultural competence.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering with outstanding results.

What we offer

• Gross annual salary between €90,000 and €100,000 for a 40‑hour week.
