Night Auditor

About the role

The Night Auditor position at San Clemente Palace Venice is a full‑time, on‑site role responsible for ensuring smooth overnight operations and accurate end‑of‑day reporting. You will welcome late‑arriving guests, manage check‑ins and check‑outs, and respond to guest inquiries throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and register late‑arriving guests, handle early departures and check‑outs.
• Perform nightly financial reconciliations, verify room charges, process payments and prepare summary reports.
• Monitor reservations, manage room allocations and operate the switchboard.
• Maintain accurate guest records in the property management system.
• Support security and safety procedures during night hours and keep lobby and front‑desk areas orderly.
• Collaborate with day‑shift teams to ensure seamless handovers.

Required profile

• Proficiency in front‑desk and receptionist duties, including check‑in/check‑out and guest record management.
• Experience with reservations, room assignments and hotel booking systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills in English and Italian.
• Ability to handle cash, balance drawers and reconcile transactions.
• Reliability for overnight shifts and capacity to work independently.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of hotel PMS, Opera and POS systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar office software.
