Operations H&S Manager

About the role

The Operations H&S Manager acts as the RSPP (Responsabile del Servizio di Prevenzione e Protezione) for DATA4 in Italy, implementing the group’s health and safety program across operations and fit‑out activities. The role works closely with internal teams, contractors and clients to ensure compliance with Italian regulations and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in H&S policy review, develop annual H&S program and lead the H&S committee, KPIs and processes.
• Conduct on‑site audits, risk analyses for high‑risk activities, root‑cause analyses of incidents and manage action plans via JIRA.
• Maintain regulatory compliance, ISO 45001 documentation, dashboards and H&S dashboards across countries.
• Define and deliver training, emergency procedures, PPE management and evacuation drills.
• Represent DATA4 with safety committees, labor inspectors and clients.

Required profile

• Minimum high school diploma plus certified safety training or a relevant degree (e.g., L7, L8, L9, L17, L23 or Master’s in LM26).
• At least 5 years of operational H&S management experience on technical sites involving construction and industrial building management.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Italian labor law and H&S best practices (e.g., INRS).
• Experience with ISO 45001 implementation.
• Proficiency in continuous‑improvement tools such as FMEA, 5M, root‑cause trees and PDCA.
• Strong H&S audit experience and ability to conduct risk assessments.
