Plant Engineer

About the role

Barilla is looking for a Plant Engineer to join the Novara plant, reporting to the Technical Area Manager. The role focuses on managing investments, equipment upgrades, and maintenance strategies to support production efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and implement plant investment projects, defining CAPEX forecasts and ensuring financial sustainability.
• Maintain and update technical diagrams, drawings, and documentation for new and existing equipment.
• Define preventive and predictive maintenance policies in collaboration with production and maintenance managers.
• Coordinate equipment installation, testing, and start‑up, and manage downtime planning.
• Identify improvement opportunities, benchmark solutions, and drive innovation on plant assets.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar engineering role.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) preferred.
• Strong problem‑solving, planning and organizational abilities.
• Team‑oriented, proactive attitude with good interpersonal skills.
