Principal Forward Deployed Engineer – Data 360 (Italian Speaking)

About the role

Salesforce is hiring a Principal Forward Deployed Engineer to work on Data 360, its real‑time data engine. The role is hands‑on, building and deploying data solutions directly inside enterprise customer environments, with a focus on AI‑driven agentic workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and develop Data 360 solutions in customer sandboxes and production using SQL, Apex, Flow, Python, REST Query API, Interaction SDK, Salesforce DX, CLI, Git and related tooling.
• Engineer ingestion, harmonization, identity resolution, and materialized views for batch and streaming sources, optimizing latency and cost.
• Design and maintain AI data integration layers such as RAG, vector databases, search indexes and knowledge bases to ground Agentforce agents.
• Implement secure, scalable integration patterns (OAuth, SAML, event‑driven architectures) and protocols like Model Context Protocol (MCP) for agent‑to‑agent communication.
• Debug complex data pipeline issues, create test data, validate outcomes, and hand off stable implementations to customer teams.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software or data engineering experience with production data solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Salesforce Data 360 (or comparable enterprise data platform) across ingestion, modeling, identity, insight and activation.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one implementation language (Apex, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Experience building data pipelines on platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Kafka or cloud object storage.
