Purchase to Pay Specialist (Accounts Payable)

About the role

A customs services provider is strengthening its finance team in Italy by hiring a Purchase to Pay Specialist. The role covers end-to-end processing of vendor invoices, timely and accurate payments, strong supplier relationships and the efficiency of the P2P cycle, within a full-time permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Process, verify and reconcile incoming supplier invoices according to company policies and procedures.
• Ensure timely payment of invoices in line with payment terms and internal deadlines.
• Manage the P2P workflow, including 3-way matching of purchase orders, delivery receipts and invoices.
• Be the first point of contact for vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records in the financial system.
• Support month-end and year-end closing with data and reconciliations.
• Liaise with business operations teams to improve purchasing and invoicing processes.
• Assist in internal and external audits of accounts payable transactions.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement in the P2P cycle.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or purchase-to-pay in a corporate environment.
• Solid understanding of the end-to-end P2P process.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; good English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
• Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
