Robotics Sales Support Specialist

About the role

This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, which is part of the Robotics Automation Division (Robotics Operations in Italy). It supports the assigned sales organisation (division and market) and customers during the proposal process, acting as a key technical resource each day. The position reports to the Senior Engineering Manager and follows a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Offer technical advice and solutions on customer, channel and sales specialist inquiries about ABB products, systems and applications
• Carry out analytical and diagnostic studies to find the optimal technical solution for complex customer needs
• Develop and maintain new sales opportunities, resolve customer problems and ensure targets on orders, Net Price Variance (NPV) and Net Promoter Score (NPS)
• Ensure budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, are met across assigned product groups and countries
• Prepare technical descriptions of products and technology, determine costs and prepare final documentation

Required profile

• 3-5 years of experience in sales support, proposal engineering, application engineering or industrial automation
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or equivalent technical background
• Fluent communication in Italian and English
• Availability for occasional customer visits and business travel

Required skills

• Technical-commercial proposal development, cost estimation and solution definition for industrial robotics and automation
• Knowledge of ABB RobotStudio, Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools and costing methodologies
