Senior Analyst – Data & Analytics

About the role

Join Oliver Wyman’s Data & Analytics (DNA) team in Milan as a Senior Analyst, collaborating with colleagues and clients to solve complex analytical challenges across industries such as financial services, climate, energy, retail and transportation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and prototype analytical solutions, including machine‑learning toolkits and predictive models.
• Implement and evaluate data‑driven prototypes, communicating results to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to projects such as NLP credit‑rating tools, portfolio decarbonisation models, promotion analytics, GenAI chatbot validation, and churn‑reduction models.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline (Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).
• At least 2 years of experience in consulting, top‑tier banking or financial institutions.
• Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication in English and Italian, and a collaborative attitude.

Required skills

• Programming in Python (or R) for data analysis and model development.
• Experience with machine‑learning, NLP and statistical modelling techniques.
• Ability to translate complex data‑science concepts into understandable insights for clients.

What we offer

• Permanent contract with a base salary between €43,000 and €52,000 gross per year.
