Senior Legal Counsel Europe

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to become the primary legal reference for our European operations. Reporting to the US‑based CFO and working closely with the US legal team, you will support business growth, commercial negotiations, and risk management across multiple European jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and manage commercial agreements such as SaaS contracts, software licensing, MSAs, NDAs and professional services agreements.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, Operations, Product and Leadership to facilitate growth while mitigating legal risk.
• Provide pragmatic legal guidance on contract negotiations, deal structures, customer requests and commercial risk assessments.
• Advise on corporate, commercial, regulatory, privacy and compliance matters across European jurisdictions.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, commercial, data‑protection and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate legal exposure related to liability, indemnity, IP rights and data‑privacy obligations.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, negotiation playbooks and legal best‑practice guides.
• Support broader corporate initiatives including vendor management, employment matters, strategic projects and potential M&A activity.
• Manage legal documentation, contract repositories and internal processes for governance and record retention.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with 6‑10+ years of professional experience.
• Strong technical expertise combined with a business‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently in an international, multi‑jurisdictional environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
