About the role

As the Senior Lounge Receptionist at Zuma in Rome, you will be the first point of contact for guests, creating a vibrant and seamless atmosphere in the restaurant’s lounge and reception area. You will lead a team of junior reception staff, ensuring every interaction reflects the brand’s high‑end Japanese dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver energetic, high‑quality service that leaves a lasting impression on every guest.
• Act as the menu and allergen expert, guiding guests through choices confidently.
• Manage reservations, deposits and guest inquiries, keeping the booking system running smoothly.
• Maintain a sparkling, welcoming reception area that sets the tone for the dining experience.
• Inspire, train and support junior reception staff to build a high‑performing team.
• Communicate guest feedback and operational updates to management.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for culinary experiences, especially Japanese cuisine.
• Proven experience as a senior receptionist in a luxury, high‑volume restaurant.
• Approachable, motivational leader who enjoys developing team talent.
• Ability to handle peak service times, reservations and guest inquiries with ease.
