Senior Operations Manager (Milan/Rome)

About the role

Blacklane is looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join its team on a full-time, permanent basis, based primarily in Milan and open to candidates based in Rome who can travel regularly to Milan. The role reports to the Head of Operations for the Europe Cluster and involves scaling operations across the designated European markets, helping Blacklane become a preferred partner for supply partners such as professional chauffeurs, and balancing supply and demand while driving cost efficiency and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement strategies for supply partnerships in ground transportation services across the designated area, ensuring high-quality service at an optimized cost.
• Manage, negotiate and continuously improve supply costs, quality metrics and availability, turning KPIs into operational actions.
• Own supply pricing and margin performance, balancing supply and demand to meet profitability and fulfillment targets.
• Make operational decisions on pricing adjustments and capacity allocation in response to market fluctuations.
• Maintain strong partner engagement and loyalty, especially in supply-constrained or low-volume markets, and represent chauffeur insights internally.
• Contribute to the global supply strategy, collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Business Intelligence and Product, and present supply capabilities to external stakeholders.
• Lead and develop the team managing the chauffeur supply side in the region, build analytical and relationship management capabilities, and enable data storytelling across markets.
• Travel regularly (about 25-40%) across the region to strengthen partnerships and monitor market conditions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations or a similar role in a dynamic environment.
• Strong understanding of partnership management and relationship-driven business models.
• Experience managing KPIs, margin performance and operational roadmaps.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
• Availability for regular regional travel (approx. 25-40%).
