Senior Python Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Python Engineer to own end‑to‑end Python services that power our purchase investigation platform. You will design, build, ship, and operate serverless Lambdas and FastAPI APIs that run 24/7 for internal agents.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a fleet of Lambda functions, FastAPI services, and related AWS resources.
• Design robust messaging flows using SNS, SQS (with DLQs), and Kafka, ensuring idempotency, retries, and ordering guarantees.
• Debug across service boundaries, tracing events from ingestion through DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and the front‑end.
• Collaborate with risk, product, and CX stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Communicate technical decisions and outcomes to non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Strong production experience with Python 3.11+, asynchronous code, and typed models (Pydantic).
• Hands‑on expertise with FastAPI or a comparable Python web framework.
• Deep knowledge of AWS serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, IAM, DynamoDB).
• Experience operating Elasticsearch at scale.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
