Senior SAP Developer / SAP Architect (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior SAP Developer / SAP Architect to join AGAP2’s international, innovation‑driven team. The role focuses on modernizing SAP landscapes, bridging classic ECC environments with S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) solutions, while applying clean‑core and cloud‑native principles.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain SAP solutions across ECC, S/4HANA and SAP BTP.
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical designs.
• Implement ABAP applications following modern SAP standards and clean‑core extensibility.
• Support SAP modernization initiatives while ensuring compatibility with existing landscapes.
• Collaborate with global teams across modules such as SD, MM, APO/IBP and Purchasing.
• Drive technical excellence through code reviews, mentoring and development standards.
• Contribute to DevOps adoption, CI/CD pipelines and automation within SAP environments.
• Produce high‑quality technical documentation and architecture guidelines.
• Perform performance optimisation, troubleshooting and debugging.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional SAP development experience.
• Strong interest in SAP modernization, clean‑core principles and cloud‑native extensibility.
• Experience working in cross‑functional, international teams.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and AI‑assisted development tools is a plus.

Required skills

• Classical ABAP and ABAP for HANA.
• Object‑Oriented ABAP, User Exits, BAdIs, enhancements.
• ALV reporting, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms.
• SAP Data Dictionary, ALE, IDocs, RFC, BAPI.
• Data migration tools (LSMW, batch input, call transactions).
• OData services (V2/V4), CDS Views, RESTful ABAP Programming Model (AMDPRAP), CAP.
• SAPUI5, Fiori Elements.
• Clean‑core & extensibility approaches.
• Performance tuning and debugging.
• Git‑based version control (abapGit), CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitHub.
• Exposure to AI‑assisted development (SAP Joule, GitHub Copilot) – strong plus.
