Senior Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, build and evolve the core backend of ShippyPro’s shipping platform. You will work on high‑scale services that handle millions of shipments each month, shaping architecture and integrating AI‑driven features.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services using PHP Laravel.
• Architect and evolve micro‑services and distributed systems.
• Integrate AI and large language models to automate shipping workflows.
• Own performance, reliability and monitoring of services handling massive API traffic.
• Collaborate with Product and Design from discovery through delivery.
• Write clean, tested, production‑ready code and uphold engineering standards.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineer with a strong track record of building complex, high‑throughput systems.
• Comfortable making architectural trade‑offs and driving technical direction.
• Passionate about scalability, reliability and continuous improvement.
