Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) Specialist, Mobile

About the role

The American Red Cross is seeking a Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) Specialist, Mobile to support U.S. military members, veterans, and their families at the Sigonella Italy Base and on worldwide deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage delivery of Red Cross services to military personnel, veterans, and families, including SAF and International Services programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with military leadership, conduct outreach, and represent the Red Cross at official events.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and recognize volunteers across SAF, disaster cycle, training, and blood services.
• Ensure high‑quality program delivery, coordinate briefings, workshops, and family support services.
• Maintain deployment readiness, obtain required medical and security clearances, and support emergency and disaster operations.
• Monitor outcomes, prepare reports, and contribute to program improvement recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with familiarity of military culture and Red Cross programs.
• U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain a secret security clearance and a U.S. passport.
• Willingness to deploy internationally for six‑month assignments.
