Software Engineer – Aerodynamics

About the role

Join the Aerodynamics Software team at a leading Formula 1 organization, working from the Maranello headquarters. You will design, develop and maintain bespoke software that directly influences car performance, collaborating closely with aerodynamic engineers and other technical specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy full‑stack software tools that support the aerodynamics department, from design through to production.
• Collaborate with aerodynamics engineers to gather requirements, define specifications and deliver solutions on schedule.
• Maintain and optimise code for performance, reliability, observability and test coverage.
• Automate workflows and create tools that improve efficiency of aerodynamic analyses.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of professional software development experience, preferably in a high‑performance or motorsport environment.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and composure under pressure, with a commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct.
• Team‑oriented mindset, willing to mentor colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Object‑oriented programming with C#/.NET.
• Web development using React and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Message brokering (RabbitMQ) and databases (SQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Linux environment, Agile development practices and exposure to data‑science / machine‑learning techniques.
