Software Engineer II - Backend

About the role

Moneyfarm is looking for a Backend Software Engineer II to join a cross‑functional team. You will work primarily with Scala, helping to evolve the architecture of our platform to support rapid customer growth while maintaining high code quality.

Key responsibilities

• Adapt and scale the backend architecture to accommodate strong user growth.
• Write clean, maintainable Scala code and keep technical debt under control.
• Become the go‑to person for backend development within the team.
• Research and prototype new technologies that can improve the product.
• Collaborate closely with product, design and other engineering teams.
