System Administrator

About the role

This remote System Administrator position supports a global workforce from Italy. The role combines hands‑on technical support, infrastructure management, troubleshooting and process improvement to keep systems reliable, secure and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support across Windows, macOS and Linux environments.
• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot workstations, software, peripherals and IT equipment.
• Manage technical requests using ticketing systems such as Jira.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity and network issues.
• Handle device lifecycle management including inventory, deployment and replacement.
• Configure and maintain security solutions (VPN, antivirus, MDM, backup, firewalls, monitoring tools).
• Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and security standards.
• Maintain technical documentation, procedures and knowledge resources.
• Support network administration tasks (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs).
• Contribute to IT improvements through automation, scripting and process optimisation.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar technical support role.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN).
• Experience with security tools such as antivirus, firewalls, backup systems, MDM platforms and logging tools.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and proactive attitude.
• Experience using ticketing systems and maintaining documentation.
