Technical Engineering Function (TEF) Intern

About the role

The Technical Engineering Function (TEF) Intern will support maintenance operations by managing spare parts and consumable inventories, ensuring equipment uptime and operational efficiency. This role combines data‑driven inventory control with continuous‑improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables.
• Perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor stock levels, generate purchase requisitions, and track orders to avoid stockouts and excess inventory.
• Issue parts against work orders in the CMMS and keep ERP data up to date.
• Analyze usage trends, develop KPIs, and propose cost‑reduction measures.
• Support 5S organization, safety, and EHS compliance in the storeroom.
• Manage obsolete and slow‑moving inventory, identifying opportunities for reduction.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, purchasing, and operations teams to enhance plant reliability.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a technical degree program.
• Basic computer proficiency with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
• Interest and ability to learn CMMS and ERP systems.
