Cyber Security OT Tester

About the role

The selected candidate will join HWG Sababa’s OT cybersecurity team to work on a strategic international project in Abu Dhabi. Over a 3‑4 month period, you will help secure critical infrastructure for a major local client by applying cutting‑edge OT security solutions and ensuring compliance with European regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct semi‑quantitative cybersecurity risk assessments and produce detailed mitigation reports.
• Research and develop innovative protection solutions for critical OT environments.
• Design secure network architectures that meet security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain OT cybersecurity policies and procedures.
• Configure and validate industrial firewalls, NIDS (e.g., Nozomi), and perform architecture testing.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in OT cybersecurity or industrial automation.
• Ready to start within 2–4 weeks and relocate to Abu Dhabi for up to four months.
• Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Automation Engineering or equivalent (preferred).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of networking components (firewalls, switches, routers, gateways, access points).
• Hands‑on experience with industrial firewalls and Nozomi Networks NIDS.
• Expertise in OT architecture design, testing, and the Purdue model.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols (Fieldbus) and wireless standards (ZigBee, RFID, Bluetooth, IEEE 802.11).
• Understanding of SCADA, DCS, PLC, RTU, IED systems and vendors such as Siemens, ABB, Rockwell.
