Ecosystem Partnerships Manager – Italy, Spain & Portugal

About the role

The Flywheel is seeking an Ecosystem Partnerships Manager to build and activate a network of local hubs and multipliers across Italy, Spain and Portugal. The role focuses on creating high‑leverage partnerships that generate a repeatable pipeline of exceptional Founder‑in‑Residence candidates for AI‑driven ventures in manufacturing, defense and energy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional partnership strategy covering Italy, Spain and Portugal.
• Map the innovation ecosystem across manufacturing, defense, energy and deep‑tech domains.
• Identify and prioritize high‑potential institutions, universities, research centres, incubators, accelerators and industry associations.
• Build and manage a structured pipeline of partnership prospects and maintain ongoing relationships.
• Shape The Flywheel’s regional sourcing approach based on ecosystem insights and expected founder yield.

Required profile

• Strong network and credibility in at least one priority market within the region.
• Deep understanding of how innovation ecosystems operate on the ground.
• Experience establishing formal partnerships with academic, research and industry organisations.
• Commercial mindset with a relationship‑driven approach.
