European Central Transport Planner

About the role

Ferrero is seeking a European Central Transport Planner to join its Supply Chain hub in Alba, Italy. In this position you will be part of the European Central Transport team, responsible for planning and managing export transportation across Ferrero production sites throughout Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Develop weekly shipping plans by analysing market demand, plant requirements, stock levels and production schedules.
• Use the Transportation Management System (TMS) to optimise routes and assign shipments to carriers according to tender share logic.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders—including customers, warehouses and production sites—to resolve transport‑related issues.
• Implement and monitor transportation plans, ensuring timely vehicle arrivals, product availability and efficient loading operations.
• Drive KPIs such as vehicle utilisation, storage time, loading punctuality and transit time while controlling costs.
• Identify and propose improvements to logistics processes, contributing to green logistics and IT system evolution.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics or a related field.
• Previous experience in supply chain or transport planning.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making abilities, with an independent work style and sense of urgency.
• Fluent English; knowledge of French or German is a plus.
