About the role
The Food & Beverage Services Supervisor ensures that the dining areas operate smoothly, staff work as a cohesive team, and guest expectations are consistently met. This role combines operational oversight, staff leadership, and guest interaction within a luxury hotel environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate F&B staff to deliver optimal service and meet guest needs.
- Inspect staff grooming, attire, and overall appearance, correcting any deficiencies.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including setup of supplies, equipment cleaning, and securing the premises.
- Maintain organized storage areas using FIFO principles and ensure cleanliness.
- Conduct inventories, stock requisitions, and manage supply levels.
- Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, safety, and guest well‑being.
- Create and follow work orders for maintenance repairs.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and employee coaching.
- Enforce company safety, security, and quality policies; report incidents and complete required safety training.
- Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant food & beverage experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, standing for long periods, and navigating stairs or confined spaces.
