Senior MES Software Engineer – C#/.NET & SQL

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a Senior MES Software Engineer to join its European MES Delivery team. You will work directly with customers, translating their manufacturing requirements into robust, scalable software solutions that drive operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse customer requirements, participate in system design and conduct code reviews.
• Develop and maintain C#/.NET applications, Web APIs, and responsive front‑end components using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Create and optimise MS SQL Server queries, stored procedures and database schemas.
• Integrate MES solutions with external systems such as SAP, PLCs and SCADA platforms.
• Define system acceptance test criteria, execute unit and system testing, and ensure 100% compliance with customer specifications.
• Support site commissioning, troubleshoot issues in manufacturing environments and produce detailed technical documentation.
• Travel up to 25% to customer sites for workshops, training and implementation activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience with MES implementations, preferably using AVEVA software (System Platform, MES, Work Tasks).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows and shop‑floor integration.
• Solid knowledge of SCADA concepts and industrial data protocols (OPC, PLC communication).
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑focused mindset.
