Country Head of Human Resources (Italy, Greece & Malta)

About the role

As the Country Head of Human Resources for Italy, Greece and Malta, you will shape and lead a multi‑country people strategy that drives growth, talent acquisition and a strong control culture. Reporting to senior leadership, you will partner with business leaders to align HR initiatives with business priorities while ensuring compliance and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the end‑to‑end HR strategy across the three countries, aligned with regional and global agendas.
• Partner closely with the Senior Country Officer, business leaders and control functions (Risk, Legal, Compliance, Security) to set priorities and deliver solutions.
• Provide oversight for HR services, ensuring a scalable and sustainable operating model.
• Collaborate with specialist HR teams (talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, mobility, employee relations) to deliver effective people processes.
• Lead issue escalation, review critical HR processes and drive timely remediation.
• Manage a small local HR team and provide supervisory coverage for additional colleagues as needed.
• Consult on employee relations, leadership development, succession planning, recruitment, organizational design and employee advocacy.
• Engage with employee representative bodies, unions and external vendors, and represent HR in key local committees.

Required profile

• Demonstrated working knowledge across multiple HR disciplines such as talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, benefits, mobility and governance.
• Strong knowledge of local employment law and market practices in Italy, Greece and Malta.
• Experience operating in a multinational, matrixed environment.
• Deep understanding of risk and controls with the ability to maintain a robust control environment.
• Proven ability to partner with senior leadership and build strong relationships across the organization.
