Deputy Chief Medical Officer

About the role

Philogen is seeking a highly motivated Medical Doctor to join the executive team as Deputy Chief Medical Officer. In this senior position you will provide medical oversight, strategic guidance and leadership for the design and execution of clinical programmes across our oncology and inflammation pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of strategic plans for the company’s product portfolio and ensure alignment with R&D objectives.
• Design study protocols, medical reports, statistical analysis plans and regulatory submission documents.
• Supervise pharmacovigilance activities, monitor patient safety and guarantee compliance with global regulatory standards.
• Interpret emerging study data to refine development strategies.
• Coordinate with regulatory, project management and clinical teams to engage health authorities and leading physicians.
• Represent Philogen with partners and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders.
• Lead the Medical and Biostatistics teams in day‑to‑day operations.

Required profile

• Medical degree (mandatory).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in clinical development within a pharmaceutical company.
• Strong knowledge of biostatistics applied to clinical trials.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
