About the role
As the Head Host at Mama Shelter, you are the first point of contact for every guest, shaping their first impression and ensuring a memorable stay. You will lead the front‑of‑house team, oversee reservations, and guarantee that the hospitality experience is seamless and welcoming.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a personalized and friendly approach, managing table placement and special requests.
- Organise and manage all reservation processes to maintain smooth service flow.
- Handle telephone reception, answer inquiries, and take bookings efficiently.
- Supervise, coach, and schedule hosts and hostesses, ensuring high performance and teamwork.
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver an exceptional overall guest experience.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and proactive anticipation of guest needs.
- Excellent team spirit and communication skills, able to coordinate with colleagues effortlessly.
- Friendly, caring attitude with a natural ability to make guests feel welcome.
- Outstanding memory for guest preferences and contact information.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
