Operations Manager - Yoga Studio, Florence

About the role

ALO is looking for an Operations Manager for its Via Roma studio in Florence. The role is a full-time position with a 40-hour week (5 days) and sits within the store leadership team, responsible for turning the operational strategy into reality. Its focus is inventory management, labour planning and scheduling, with the goal of keeping the store customer-ready at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and support the execution of key operational processes
• Investigate inventory accuracy issues and root causes, escalating process or system gaps with the Manager
• Champion operational standards on the sales floor using business performance data
• Support sell-through by ensuring accurate inventory counts and coordinating labour hours for receiving deliveries
• Represent the business in meetings and conference calls with the General Manager, and help manage the budget, reporting and metrics such as expenses and sell-through
• Take part in future planning, including quarterly business reviews and sales planning
• Lead the Operations team through coaching, talent development and communication, and build internal and external pipelines through succession planning and recruitment
• Write schedules in partnership with the General Manager and oversee delivery of the Sales and Service model

Required profile

• Prior leadership experience in retail or a related industry
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand and move for a full shift
• Right to live and work in the country from the start of employment

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Agility in handling multiple tasks in a changing environment
