Procurement & Accounts Payable Specialist
Unobravo International · Milan
Job description
About the role
Unobravo International, a mental health support company based in Milan, is looking for a Procurement & AP Specialist with a cost-conscious, commercial mindset. The role monitors company spend, identifies saving opportunities and owns the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, from supplier onboarding and negotiations to invoice reconciliation and policy compliance. It works cross-functionally with all teams and calls for a high level of autonomy, accuracy and strong communication skills.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor company spend by supplier, category and cost center, flagging cost increases and budget overruns to budget owners.
- Identify and propose savings, benchmark quotes and engage external negotiation partners on contract renewals and strategic purchases.
- Review and approve supplier master data in PivotApp, reconcile invoices and purchase requisitions, and validate supporting documents for foreign supplier invoices.
- Analyse payment methods and tools, monitor compliance with Rydoo and procurement policies, and contribute to improving internal controls.
- Record and review supplier invoices from Italy, EU and non-EU countries, applying reverse charge, split payment and VAT pro-rata rules correctly.
- Handle accounting for self-employed professional fees subject to withholding tax, reconcile open items and support monthly and year-end closing, accruals, prepayments and provisions.
- Support management accounting, cost center allocation, statutory financial statements and consolidation.
Required profile
- Master's degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- At least 3 years of accounting experience, including in an accounts payable department (PO management, invoices to be received).
- Proven procurement, spend analysis or cost control experience with a track record of savings.
- Strong knowledge of general and management accounting, financial statement analysis, VAT regulations (cross-border, reverse charge, VAT pro-rata) and cost center accounting.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP is strongly required; ERP implementation or integration experience is a plus.
- Willingness to travel periodically to Naples and other company locations.
Required skills
- Generative AI tools, integrated into daily work to automate low-value tasks.
- Clear, assertive communication with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Power-ups: consolidated financial statements, international group experience, B2B/B2C experience, and foreign entity accounting (Spain and France).
What we offer
- Salary range of EUR 30,000 - 40,000.
- Discounts on psychotherapy sessions, company retreats and team events.
- Free online language training and a day off on your birthday.
- Extra days off for World Mental Health Day and inclusive parental leave.
