Production Engineering Internship – Additive Manufacturing

About the role

This internship supports the production engineering team by analysing assembly and testing system requirements and defining the equipment and tools needed through additive manufacturing design. You will model and fine‑tune motion‑control valves for hydraulic actuators, integrate 3D‑printing technologies, and compare simulated results with tests on benches or operating machines such as excavators and telescopic handlers.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse production needs and constraints for assembly and testing systems.
• Design and specify additive‑manufacturing equipment and tools.
• Model and optimise motion‑control valves using CAD and FEM tools.
• Run simulations and conduct physical testing on test benches and real machines.
• Compare virtual outcomes with experimental data and document findings.

Required profile

• Undergraduate student in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong interest in 3D‑printing and additive manufacturing technologies.
• Analytical mindset with problem‑solving attitude and collaborative spirit.
• Enthusiasm for industrial processes and production digitalisation.
