About the role
The Steward plays a vital part in the Food & Beverage and Culinary operations at a luxury hotel, ensuring that all kitchen and back‑of‑house areas remain clean, hygienic, and well‑organized. This position supports service excellence by maintaining equipment, utensils, and workspaces to Four Seasons standards and complying with HACCP, health, and safety regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchens, dishwashing areas, storage rooms, and other back‑of‑house spaces.
- Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, glassware, cutlery, kitchen equipment, and utensils.
- Provide clean equipment to support daily Food & Beverage service.
- Follow HACCP, health, safety, and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Handle waste disposal, recycling, and chemical usage according to guidelines.
- Assist in cleaning floors, walls, work surfaces, and kitchen equipment.
- Support the stewarding team and supervisors with daily operational tasks.
- Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or maintenance needs promptly.
- Collaborate with Culinary and F&B teams to ensure smooth operations.
Required profile
- Previous experience in stewarding, kitchen, or back‑of‑house roles is advantageous.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and follow procedures accurately.
- Team‑oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Fluency in Italian.
Required skills
- Knowledge of HACCP principles.
- Understanding of food safety standards.
- Familiarity with hygiene and cleanliness protocols.
