Analytical Laboratory Technician

About the role

Barilla is seeking an Analytical Laboratory Technician to join its headquarters in Parma. The role supports daily analytical testing of raw materials, semi‑finished and final products, ensuring accurate data and laboratory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute test plans from sample preparation to result acquisition, following SOPs.
• Maintain analytical instruments and ensure laboratory safety compliance.
• Collaborate with scientists, technologists and pilot‑plant technicians to collect samples and support projects.
• Manage external partners for instrument maintenance and service orders.

Required profile

• High School Diploma in chemistry or food chemistry.
• 1–2 years experience in an analytical laboratory environment.
• Full proficiency in Italian and at least B2 level in English.
• Teamwork, negotiation and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with physicochemical, compositional, food safety and biochemical analyses.
• Experience with ELISA, chromatography, mass spectrometry and spectroscopy (plus).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP and LIMS (highly preferred).
