Automotive Diagnostic Technician – On‑site & Remote Support

About the role

MSX is seeking an experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician to act as the escalation point for complex vehicle issues across dealer networks and independent repair shops. You will work both on‑site and remotely, helping technicians resolve electrical, electronic and drivability faults quickly and accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site and remote technical support to dealerships and repairers.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, electronic and drivability faults using OEM tools such as wiTECH and DiagBOX.
• Read wiring diagrams and technical documentation to identify root causes.
• Perform flashing, parameterisation and software updates on modern vehicle systems.
• Produce clear technical reports and case updates for each intervention.
• Coach and mentor technicians, delivering hands‑on guidance.
• Feed recurring issues into continuous‑improvement processes.

Required profile

• Strong background in automotive diagnostics, technical support or field service.
• Proven ability to fix complex electrical/electronic faults.
• Hands‑on experience with OEM diagnostic tools.
• Confidence reading wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Experience working with workshops, engineering or technical teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
